I’m looking for NDIS support work — calm, reliable help that fits your plan: life skills, community access, and positive engagement. I also bring years of structured activity experience with young people on the autism spectrum. Use the form below to get in touch.

About

I’m a Support Worker with Kynd (from September 2024), working with a young NDIS participant on life skills, social engagement, and activities that complement their broader supports (including speech therapy goals as part of their routine).

Before that I spent six years with Circus Stars — from volunteer to senior trainer — running sessions for children on the autism spectrum focused on strength, balance, coordination, and confidence through circus skills. That background shapes how I plan activities, give clear instructions, and stay patient and consistent.

I also work in film and screen — see Film & screen for that side of my work.

Activities with autistic children & young people

I’m used to planning sessions around what helps each participant feel safe, engaged, and building skills in the real world — not just at home. Examples of outings and routines I’ve enjoyed supporting include:

  • Playground adventures — parks, equipment, and social play in manageable doses
  • Community trips — going to the shops, errands, and practising routines in public spaces
  • Animal Welfare League — a favourite outing for many families; calm visits to meet animals in a supported setting. I’ve also walked alongside kids who were afraid of animals, helping them build confidence step by step.

I’m comfortable supporting non-verbal participants and those who communicate in different ways, and I’m very familiar with speech therapy exercises and routines as part of a plan — I follow the strategies your speech pathologist sets; I’m not a therapist myself.

What I can support with

  • Life skills and daily routines in line with your support plan
  • Community access — outings, appointments, social and recreational activities
  • Engaging, structured activities at home or in the community
  • Supporting communication and participation goals alongside allied health (as agreed in your plan)
  • Reliable transport with a full licence (green P) and a clean record
  • Clear notes and handover when you need transparency with families or coordinators

I’m not a therapist — I work within the strategies and plans set by you, your family, and your professional team.
